Pre-wedding me: “Do we really need a wedding planner? We can figure this stuff out.”

Post-wedding me: “Thank goodness we got a wedding planner and an amazing one at that!”

I have to say I was weary about wedding planners because of the rising costs in the wedding industry, but if you’re debating whether or not to hire Katie, do it. While I was stuck at work, my (super indecisive) wife had one Zoom call with Katie and the next thing I knew I was coming home to a contract ready for a signature. I trust my wife’s decisions (after all, she did choose me as a life partner), but I’ve NEVER seen her so confident in making a decision that impacts one of the biggest days of our lives. After meeting Katie myself I totally understood why it was a no-brainer: she’s friendly, experienced, hilarious, well-organized, and a quick thinker.

I’m sure there are a lot of great wedding planners out there but it’s when things go wrong that you get to see Katie shine (and trust me, not everything will go according to plan). My wife and I forgot to tell vendors we added a guest a couple of days before the wedding, we added an extra hour to the reception a week prior, we misplaced wedding decor hours before the wedding, we brought in some decor and lawn games we never discussed, we decided to skip the bouquet toss last minute, we had to re-do our first dance again, a friend weaseled his way into making a wedding speech when we were trying to stick to a schedule, we needed to wrangle up certain guests for photos.. all these little things can add up and make people crack under pressure, but Katie’s response was ALWAYS positive: “I will take care of it.”

As someone who gets anxious over the smallest things and prefers to do everything themselves without asking for help, I put my faith in Katie to help us on our big day. I don’t know how she does it but she worked her magic and made it a pleasurable experience (“that’s what she said”). In all seriousness, I can honestly say it was the best day of my life and it would not have been possible without her leading the charge.

So whether you’re planning a big wedding, a small wedding, or any sort of event to celebrate love, trust me when I say that you won’t regret hiring Katie and her team.
